Meet Your Expert
Ben Rubin works remotely as staff historian for the State of South Carolina 250th Commission, a state-run historical organization, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution in the state. He also served as Senior Editor for The Francis Marion Papers, a multi-volume primary source collection published by the State of South Carolina. Previously he taught American History at Bloomfield College. He has appeared on a number of historical podcasts, including The Historyman Podcast, History Happy Hour, and Decisive Battles. In his spare time, Ben is also a musician who plays in multiple bands and owns a private music school, where he teaches piano, guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, and music theory. Originally from Cincinnati, he now lives in Jersey City with his wife and two daughters.

This audio guide is a great way to experience NYC and learn more about the story of Hamilton and the American Revolution! As a former New Yorker and someone who appreciates American history, I had an amazing time rediscovering this part of the city.
