Tour Description
Few things are more ingrained in French culture than sitting down for a good glass of wine, but with so many types and regions to choose from, how are you certain to drink the best during your stay in Paris?

During this Paris wine tour, a local oenologist will take you to some local gems, introduce you to the wine regions of France and their nuances, and show you how to find some of the best nectars on offer. You will taste some typical wines of various types and appellations and be spoiled with a glass of Grand Cru, all while nibbling on some sumptuous pre-dinner snacks.

At the end of your wine tasting in Paris guided by an expert, you will be fully prepared for future nights in the charming wine bars of Paris, and perhaps you will have found a new desire to visit some of France’s wine regions for yourself.

What You’ll Taste:
  • Wine, of course! Your wine tastings will range from some typical everyday wines to a Grand Cru. You can expect to consume several glasses, though tastings vary by day and interest.
  • Some luxurious nibbles to accompany your tasting.
  • You will be visiting local establishments that are often family-run; hours and availability may vary.
  • Dietary restrictions should be shared in advance to possibly adapt the tour. This wine tour can be adapted for gluten or dairy allergies. It would be doable as a vegetarian, but we do not recommend this tour for vegans as many traditional wines are not certified vegan.

Yasmin was a very good docent. I liked the maps and practical explanations she gave us on regions. I would have preferred more concrete information on buying French wines, more wine tasting, and less of the longer explanations on wine history. The cheese and meat plate at the last stop was delicious. My favorite place was the Baron Rouge wine bar and I'd definitely like to go again. It had a great atmosphere. It might be nice to stop in the wine shop on future walks (instead of just looking in the window) to go over how French wine is sold and classified in shops and get practical tips for buying wine in France. That would have been great.
It was fun, a little informative, but pretty pricey.
Compared to other walks, private biking and private tours we've done in Paris, we felt she wasn't of the standard we were expecting. Although she had knowledge of the wines of France, her demeanor and ability to hold our attention was weak. At times she seemed unsure of herself and unable to provide a good flow of information. Our walk wasn't from destination to destination, as she walked us around in a circle (twice). It made the event seem very improvised. We think that with guidance and time, her ability to conduct this tour could be improved.
