Why can’t I book this tour for more than 6 people?
Our Louvre museum tours are capped at 6 due to venue reservation restrictions, this also helps your tour experience in order to best navigate the museum and crowds. Should you have a larger group, we suggest splitting into multiple groups.
I have purchased a Museum Pass, can I use it on my Context tours?
Unfortunately, we will not be able to refund your Louvre tickets if you have Museum Passes.

After a fantastic experience with Context Travel on our last trip to Europe (tours in both Rome and Pompeii), there was no doubt we would want to hire them again for our trip to Paris. Once again, it was truly exceptional. Pablo Jesus was our guide of the Louvre, and was absolutely fantastic. We did not receive the cookie-cutter "Louvre in a nutshell" tour, but rather a highly personalized and insightful look into this great museum. Pablo first offered an in-depth explanation of the history of the Louvre (including the incredible moat and drawbridge that still exists below dating back to its original construction as a medieval castle). His detailed knowledge kept us captivated during the entire tour, and his attentiveness coupled with a wonderful sense of humor made the 4 hours we spent together feel too short (we wanted more!). Also, by taking the time to focus on specific works and making us really think about those select pieces, it made the art viewing experience meaningful and thought-provoking. We truly felt like being on a personally guided art tour, not just tourists being rushed from one end of the Louvre to the other. We also greatly enjoyed the different cultural and political perspectives Pablo offered on each piece, and on the history of art as a whole. Guiding a group of girls/women (ranging in age from 16 to 83) is no easy task, but Pablo pulled it off with incredible ease and grace. His charm and wit won our hearts. This tour remains one of the great highlights of our Paris visit! The Context Travel guides and their level of expertise, professionalism, as well as patience and kindness, are like none other. We cannot wait for our next tour!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience on this tour! We severely underestimated how large the museum is and cannot imagine having done this without having a pro lead the way! It was great having somebody there to guide us and take us to all of the key highlights of this truly incredible museum.

Lorraine was very knowledgeable but our expectations were to get an overview of the Louvre and we felt like Lorraine spent a lot of time on only a few pieces. I counted 13 sites covered in the tour time of 3 hours. What was covered was very interesting but it was 10 -15 minutes at least per painting or sculpture. We realize that the Louvre is enormous but time was spent outside of the Louvre before even going in and in the ancient times and only 30 minutes in the 16th to 18th century. It's possible that we just don't understand the idea of covering the highlights in the amount of time for the crash course. A friend recommended Context travel to me and I was led to believe that a lot of ground was covered on the three hour tour and not so much in depth info on just a few areas.
