We had an unforgettable experience on the Hiroshima in a Day Tour, thanks to our exceptional guide, Tetsuo. From the moment we met him, he brought warmth, depth, and personal insight to every part of the journey. He shared his family's history with us—some of whom were present during the bombing—which added a deeply human layer to the sites we visited.
One of the most moving moments was when he taught our children how to fold origami cranes and guided them to a memorial where they could offer them in honor of Sadako Sasaki, the young girl who died of leukemia after the bombing. It was a powerful, emotional experience that our family will never forget.
Tetsuo went above and beyond throughout the day. He didn’t just drop us off at the end—he personally accompanied us all the way back to our cruise ship. He showed us the best spots for memorable photos and was incredibly flexible, adjusting the itinerary to suit our interests and pace.
This tour was not only educational and sobering, but also filled with moments of beauty, kindness, and connection. Tetsuo made Hiroshima’s history come alive in a way that was both respectful and deeply personal. Highly recommended.
