We had not one but two Ioannis’s on our tour. First, our driver, Ioannis, was punctual, friendly, and had a lovely air conditioned sprinter van and was well equipped with water to keep us hydrated. Our tour guide, Ioannis, was friendly, funny, and very informative throughout the tour. As an archaeologist who worked at this site and did his PhD on the subject matter of the Knossos Palace, he was a perfect guide for our family. We love history, the stories, and the detail, so was very accommodating in sharing his knowledge and answering our questions. The museum was a great tour through the different time periods and he continued to narrate for us here as well. You know your guide is good when other tourists are trying to stay close to you to hear what he has to say! We stopped for a great street food lunch and explored the city sights and history including some beautiful churches. We highly recommend this tour and ask for Ioannis!
