We loved this tour with Claire. It was so interesting to get to explore some neighborhoods of Istanbul and learn about the history of the city. Claire was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all our questions, while providing valuable context and stories about the places we visited. We highly recommend this tour.

This is an exceptional tour. Don't miss the opportunity to see the stunning mosaics and frescoes in the Chora Church (today called the Kariye Mosque). The mosaics and frescoes here depcting the life of Mary, the miracles of Jesus, and the last judgement are in excellent condition and are truly incredible. The Mihrimah Sultan Mosque was also a moving visit and the space was light-filled, beautiful, and peaceful. We loved learning about the care the architect took to designing and siting this mosque. Walking along the original city walls was also quite moving. Turkey is blessed to be the keepers of incredible cultural heritage and we appreciate having access to enjoy such treasures.
Loved, loved, loved our time touring with Duygu. She was a font of knowledge, super kind, and at the end recommended an outstanding kebab place near the Hodjapasha Cultural Center. Don't miss this tour for an overview of Turkish and Ottoman history from the very beginning. The palace itself was stunning and one could easily spend all day here. Enjoy!
