Since the 1990s, the country has begun the process of shedding its long-established system of apartheid, or legal institutionalized racism, that was directed by Dutch and British colonizers towards the local Bantu people.

Rarely do you encounter a guide that engages at Lesley’s level. Her knowledge, ability to casually conversate seamlessly making what we were seeing relevant made our time fly by. She also explained and engaged beautifully with us about our questions regarding difficult topics and how they are currently being dealt with. This was a fabulous experience with every minute and dollar.

We had a great time today on tour of Cape Town with Lesley. We found her to be very well informed on Cape Town, both history and current events. We traveled at a good pace throughout the tour allowing for a couple of rest spots. She is very easy to understand with a good thought pattern. We can definitely recommend her to future travelers.
Lesley was a fantastic tour guide - we leaned a lot and had fun on our walking tour of Cape Town, would recommend to anyone wanting an interesting tour of the city! It was a great way to start our trip!
