Tim is a wine educator, event host and tour guide. He lectured on the Wine Business degree at Plumpton College in East Sussex, the UK's only provider of wine-based degrees, and is a Wine and Spirit Education Trust certified educator. This also involved teaching about beer and spirits. He regularly hosts wine tastings for a wide variety of audiences and particularly enjoys running food and wine pairing events. Equally happy with a pint of beer as with a glass of wine, he has led many pub walks in London, Oxford, Cambridge and Brighton where he now lives, and also hosts food tours there. He has a particular interest in the social and cultural aspects of alcohol production and consumption and its interaction with cuisine.
