About Kit

Kit is a historian with a PhD in Religion from Columbia University. They specialize in nineteenth-century United States history, particularly around the topics of science, gender, race, and theology. Not looking to go church-hopping on your tour? No problem. Kit is also passionate about antiques, local flora and fauna, archives, linguistics, and social justice. In addition to their work with context, Kit has provided historical education at the Museum of the City of New York, Brooklyn Historical Society, New York Historical, and History Geneva and is a certified NYC Sightseeing Guide.

Kit has lived in Arizona, Virginia, Washington, mainland Portugal, the Azores, New York, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts (in that order) and has traveled all over the the Americas and Europe. Through their eclectic experiences and interests, they've gathered a wealth of stories and knowledge that they cannot wait to share with you on your tour.
