Carolin began working as a tour guide in Rome and Vatican City, where she would guide Saint Peter's tomb, more than 30 years ago. She earned an Art History degree in Salzburg, while completing a course to become an official guide for Salzburg and the surrounding areas.

When not guiding, Carolin works as an art mediator at the Domquartier, the former state rooms of the prince archbishops and current museum. She is fluent in German, English and Italian.
