Our time with Tim was a fun & educational experience. He picked up on our preferences and gave generously of his time. We really appreciate the museum visits. Though brief, but his introduction on the sampled pieces + a special exhibit added immensely to our understanding of the pieces, the artists of their time, & how they fit into the history of this area and Europe. This insights and context was invaluable. We also liked the cultural and architectural elements that he pointed out along the way. It was an excellent walk! We also really appreciate his suggestion to try the Peranakan cuisine (a very local cuisine) seldom found outside of Singapore. We weren't familiar with it, so that was a great local tip.

As a professional chef, I was thrilled to find a guide like Aldric, who approached the components in a dish — “what is that flavor?” or “name that ingredient?” — as the beginning of any discussion. His encyclopedia’s knowledge of the food history and eating habits of Singaporeans was limitless, but his articulate and enthusiastic presentation was a pleasure.
