Is this tour available in August?
The small shops we visit on this tour are closed for the better part of August for the annual Italian vacation period.

Is this tour wheelchair-friendly?

Gina was fantastic. She was organized but relaxed, knowledgeable without being condescending, professional but still fun. She was very flexible and willing to adjust the tour to our preferences. The selections gave us a good overview of what is great food wise about Rome and Gina had wonderful relationships with the proprietors. I would absolutely recommend her.

Gina was exceptional and the tour itself was hands on in terms of tasting of the coffee and food. She also suggested places to eat and bars to visit forthe rest of our holiday.

I like that Gina's choices were sometimes completely unexpected. I had never heard of Jewish Pizza or Lacrime de Cielo. A number of times I felt my mind was blown by the things she turned us onto. Her knowledge of food and coffee was quite impressive and she was able to answer every question in depth. My understanding of Roman food culture has been greatly expanded!
Of great value was her help in making cheese purchases for taking home. I am leaving tomorrow to visit my mother. I can't wait to see what she thinks of the salty Pecorino Romano Gina helped me buy! I just wish I was able to bring some Mozzarella di bufalo. That was a truly memorable taste experience.
I agreed with all Gina's choices for taste treats, but I did find the pizza choice lackluster. I think she was showing us a traditional side of local food culture, which was interesting but not as exciting as the other choices. I was hoping we'd try the new fried pizza coming out of Naples. I think as an American I've been spoiled by flashier pizza. None of the pizza I've ever had in Italy has been as good as what I get in San Francisco.
I like that Gina did not rush the group and responded to personal interests and energy levels.
It was not necessary, but I would have liked to have a little map marking out the areas visited and vendors' names and addresses for future reference. In the moment it was hard to keep track of. I got a little confused about where exactly we were and may find it hard to find those places again.
