You will start from the Piazza SS. Annunziata, an integral public space in the Florence city center, to look at the Ospedale degli Innocenti, a historic building designed by Filippo Brunelleschi. You will then stroll down the shop and cafe-filled Via dei Servi to check out the exterior of Brunelleschi's later masterpiece, the Duomo, where you will learn about the importance of the cathedral and nearby Baptistery in Florentine art and civic history.
From here, you will move deeper into the center, to Piazza della Signoria, the government center of Renaissance Florence, and Piazza Republica, which is home to firebreathers, jugglers, and some of the most famous cafes in Florence.
Talking about anything from fashion or coffee to the Medicis or Michelangelo, your passeggiata will end on the magnificent Ponte Vecchio bridge, where you may want to finish with a glass of wine or gelato to fully enjoy the city's atmosphere.
By the end of your Florence city tour, your guide will have fostered an experience that gives you a deeper understanding of this most fascinating city and leaves you well-prepared and eager for future exploration.

Very knowledgable. Perhaps a handout regarding timelines of famous events would be helpful since the names and events are numerous, foreign and come at you quickly since there is so much to cover

we were late; got lost. did not receive a call from guide to give us place to meet up, no instructions were left for us at meeting location. I understand your policy, but I did not have your phone number to say we were going to be late. So, $250 wasted.

Elizabeth was very knowledgeable and a great guide. The most difficult part of the walk was having the whole group hear everything. It was very cold and windy and when we walked from place to place one or two people would be able to talk with her and the rest lagged behind. This had nothing to do with her -- it is the nature of moving from place to place. If we did tours again, we would bring a voice recorder.
There is so much valuable information that it is difficult to keep retain it all. Handouts would also be helpful.
