Your Curiosity, Our Expertise

Learn how to order in local Japanese markets or decode the drama of Versailles. Meet locals in side-street shops and reveal eye-popping, hidden histories that others miss.

Let a Context guide connect your interests in art, gastronomy, history, or architecture to the lesser-known stories that are invisible to most travelers. Transform your trip from a sight-seeing checklist into a truly engaging time of discovery and connection.

Deep, Engaging, Tailored: The Tour for Everyone in Your Party

Conversations, not umbrella tours

"Tim was great. Knowledgeable. Cheeky. Motivating. It was a wonderful tour. We could have talked for hours. This is the exact reason small groups are the best. One on one, non scripted information from a dedicated and knowledgeable professional. Thank you, Tim."

Experts, not guides

“William literally writes the book(s) on the D-Day memorials which led to an incredibly informative day tour. From age 77 to 11, we were all captivated by his knowledge and his ability to connect the dots.”

Tailored, not one-size fits all

“Fantastic way to learn or refresh your understanding of key aspects of the history of Britain... One of the great things about a Context private tour is your guide. You can tailor your experience to your group's individual interests. This was our third Context tour. We are 3 for 3 in terms of top shelf guides, each very knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommended!"

Everyone enjoyed the tour. Eireann was an excellent guide. Supremely knowledgeable and obviously passionate about Venice and its history..
Asli Zeren was an excellent tour guide, she taught us so much in our afternoon together!
What a great introduction to the Rijksmuseum! Admittedly, our party started out with a vague idea of a “Golden Age” in Dutch History and a sense it was related to trade. Then we met Lora, our guide, and a whole world revealed itself. She skillfully wove a narrative of Dutch History as illustrated by Art as diverse as Rembrandts to doll houses. Her enthusiasm and depth of knowledge and ability to weave a compelling storyline had us captivated. This was my first real day ever in the Netherlands, and my partners first day since his visit in 1971. Lora made it a very memorable one and laid the groundwork for a a deeper appreciation of Dutch culture, history and influence for the rest of our visit and beyond.
